Popular Ondo politician, Dr. Paul Akintelure has affirmed that he is likely going to join the governorship in Ondo state. The Igbotako born Medical Doctor disclosed this in a recent interview with Ikale News at his Lagos Office.

Recalled that many politicians are beginning to declare their interest in the governorship race, now that the Governor Akeredolu tenure is gradually coming to the last few years in office.

According to Dr Akintelue, his desire to run for Governor of Ondo state is born of his love for the pieople of the state , as many concerned people have written to him and pleaded that he must contest in the election

According to him "I have received clarion calls. Everybody wants me to run for governorship in Ondo State. In fact some have wrien and threatened that if I don't want to fund my campaign that they will pay for me on their own and they will use all means to force me into it.

"Yes, I will offer myself for leadership at that level if I get the final clearance from God Almighty. I have told them that yes it is true and the one more thing is that I'm waiting for God I have placed it before God and in no time God will give me an answer.

"May be I should inform you that I am not afraid to run. I have contested the governorship in our beloved state before as running mate to Aketi. So, I have the experience. So when the time is ripe we will formally inform our people through Ikale News and other media. It is the people's project, not mine." He said.
